Childhood Encopresis Alliance
Supporting children, accompanying families.
How was this organization born?
We are two mothers who, when facing the challenge of encopresis with our children, have come from completely different contexts, situations and resources. Along the way, we often experience misinformation and helplessness from the health system.
Trying to find answers to understand what was happening with our children's health, we discovered that there was not enough information available about this condition, nor were there professionals who could give us clear guidance and treatment, nor did we find a place where we could feel supported or understood.
This lack of support was what motivated us to create this space seeking to promote information about encopresis and to be a support network for parents in the same situation.
What do we offer?
Our goal is to be that resource that we did not have and about which there is no information today, therefore it is essential to give visibility to Encopresis.
To provide a place where families can find clear information, emotional support and practical tools, based on our experience, to understand and address encopresis.
We know how difficult it can be, but we have also learned that with the right guidance it can be overcome and is a condition that can be reversed.
If with our experience and knowledge we can help other parents who are going through the same thing, why not do it?
We want all families to feel supported, that no mother or father feels alone in going through this situation and that together we can build a path towards understanding, empathy and, above all, the well-being of our children.
